moaning in silent sorrow the horror

moaning in silent sorrow the horror

--Nathaniel Hawthorne (f)

        (1804-1864)
A bodily disease, which we look upon as whole and entire within itself, may, after all, be but a symptom of some ailment in the spiritual part.
“A grave, wherever found, preaches a short and pithy sermon to the soul.”
An unhappy gentleman, resolving to wed nothing short of perfection, keeps his heart and hand till both get so old and withered that no tolerable woman will accept them.”
“Generosity is the flower of justice.”
“Mankind are earthen jugs with spirits in them.”
“Nobody has any conscience about adding to the improbabilities of a marvelous tale.”
“Our most intimate friend is not he to whom we show the worst, but the best of our nature.”
“Religion and art spring from the same root and are close kin. Economics and art are strangers.”
“The art of being happy lies in the power of extracting happiness from common things.”
The calmer thought is not always the right thought, just as the distant view is not always the truest view.
The inward pleasure of imparting pleasure—that is the choicest of all.
The only sensible ends of literature are, first, the pleasurable toil of writing; second, the gratification of one's family and friends; and lastly, the solid cash.

The page of life that was spread out before me seemed dull and commonplace, only because I had not fathomed its deeper import.

The world owes all its onward impulses to men ill at ease. The happy man inevitably confines himself within ancient limits.
“Time flies over us, but leaves its shadow behind.”
We do ourselves wrong, and too meanly estimate the holiness above us, when we deem that any act or enjoyment good in itself, is not good to do religiously.?
“We must not always talk in the market-place of what happens to us in the forest.”

what of fragging & rape to say nothing of the glib slick gloat & smirk indifference Fox Inc TV
of fat like slick seals slipping in and out of news stories shredding hearts?
At that you had more to begin with than I who as child and young man writhed anguished in silent wonder why?

Anguish agonized alone with no other veteran than my baby sister to confide in. Relatives lovers no incest but best friends forever veterans of the same conflict

wishful thinking

120819 12:07 suspicion
As is often the case I see not what I wish to see but that which is.
Save, of course, regarding women. Of, and for, whom I have learned, after a lifetime of trial and error, to no longer see them with desire or lust. . . .but of equal value to me.

Happily though, I am loved and love a woman who in trust and intuition, possibly empathy as well, drew me from my grave, in a well by-the-way, by my by then mossy locks. And in metaphorically kissing my amphibious lips turned me not to a Prince but merely a full grown man in love with a woman. Several have tried but fatally failed the issue of trust.

God! How I love to write, what may be for some, if not most, doggerel, though I known not how but why.

Auguring downward into the bedrock of my faith and upwards beseeching aid, a long spiny tendril of steel, possibly a miniature of The Tower of Babble but only of one voice . . . & no fracking allowed. Then came the following from someone I trust, respect and often peruse; Henry David Thoreau whose, quite by chance did I discover, follows:

"We are always paid for our suspicion by finding what we suspect."

Typical of my training in the school of terrorism, gratis dear old Mom, I was suspicious of a slanderous condemnation akin to, never explicitly so worded accusation, but transposed for greater acknowledgement; "YOU HAVE SHIT FOR BRAINS!" Well, yes, of course, I can be at times scatocephalic and to extreme and ridiculous extents. Have I not yet demonstrated that explicitly in these pages?

Yet I write not to hear myself think, speak, or acknowledge myself as having a right to exist since I already know and accept that as established fact.

Let us speak for a moment of my suspicions regarding all politicians who excrete waste materials explosively -- orally. Or like, as dear old dad would have it, frequently saying of me; "You have diarrhea of the mouth!"

Obvious to me, but possibly obscure or oblique to you, my family was very -- apparently excessively so -- scatological.

I seldom defame the intelligence of our leadership; though they act as school children embroiled in a Mexican Standoff at the OK Coral. I merely mentioned, in conjecture, that they are psychotic. Which in pragmatic terms means they are by act, deed and word incompetent to lead a gaggle of geese to market.

I had, once-upon-a-time, through several agencies personal, a respect for the current president which he aborted by insisting upon first editorial rights to any and all written interviews rendering him the supreme ass hole of all time . . . at least in my experience and expectation  . . . why does he not simply shot journalist on sight? Or, instead, follow more nearly the lead left him by the previous administration of declaring all opposition as "Enemy Combatants" without Habeas Corpus to languish for decades imprisoned. Smells like, wattles like, quacks like a duck to me akin to sharia " . . . law is only applicable to Muslims."

What's next boys and girls: clitoridectomies -- the excision of the clitoris, usually performed as part of female initiation rites, mainly among certain African peoples, but also sometimes used in various societies to curb sexual desire; female circumcision.

Instituted to 'protect' the electorate The Thought Police threat meters must be spinning by now. Yet in complete innocence I still ask why does it seem that democracy has been supplanted by something so similar to what Al-Qaeda desires of the world?

And, at that, if we incorporate the cooking of accounting, the lies regarding election results via Diebold Election Systems, the simple translation from Depression to Recession . . . oh well . . . the abuses are fantastic; the list of facts endless. We live not in a democracy or oligarchy but a business designed to collect as much money as possible and damn the consequences. Unethical/immoral? Of course: Any means to and end in itself.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad no more represents 'his' people than Vladimir Putin, Russia or Mitt Romney could and Barrack Obama can given his sabotage by the Democratic Party members who resent his not being an "old school 'professional' politician" and Brown to boot. Being 'brown' will be normative in a few generations if the species survives this tyrannical greed for power.

My issue however is not with the kickbacks, thefts and obvious corruption but a vastly more important issue to we PTSD and Co-Dependants. Who after lifetimes of abuse, sexual, emotional and psychological humiliation, victims one and all, really should object to being called mentally ill.

There is no politician worth the scratch it would take to bury his ashes knowledgeable enough to judge your, or my, competency. Yet through indifference to actual need deny aid to those who served adequate aid to survive the rigors of war; physically or mentally. And of we co-dependants well obvious we are dismissed, unless acting out, re: Aurora / Dawn of the New Age

Of all the resources, institutional or social, the most effective and lasting is self definition by total honesty and self investigation as in; The truth will set you free. Otherwise you will be enslaved by fear forever. . . .First you dance with yourself as good and grotesque then decide which part you want to live and die for. Do no harm to yourself, another, but especially the demigods who wish to prove their thesis by killing you.

For what other reason are politicians by any means and measures closing down the free education proffered by the World Wide Web?

Some day, if there en0ugh heart beats left in this graying flabby old man, I will publish a list of resources, more-or-less free, and readily available. That I think will not only keep you alive but enable you to become the glorious self you already are to me. Since those in charge seem to divide and conquer by fear and intimidation, lies essentially using the craft of advertising and media manipulation. I suggest that you learn to be grateful for what you have and ignore what you have not.  We are aggrieved and legion. . . .Follow the long patient path, solely your own, to wholeness.

Be well until next time we meet. Save yourself.

"Whatever is enforced by command is more imputed to him who exacts than to him who performs." --Michel de Montaigne http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Michel_de_Montaigne

The implosion of freedom began 9/11.

The destruction of "The World Trade Towers;" what I think of as a Cathedral of Greed; marked a turning point of no return for what America has become to itself and the world at large: a bully, childish in it's tantrums; a spoiled brat.

Instead of being the promised light shining brightly upon a mountain top it has become an exporter of munitions, death, pornography and drugs both licit and illicit. Possibly worse, or worst, it has become a dictatorship ruled by corporations who no long suggest but dictate policy favorable to its intents and desires: The Bottom Line.

The world now is rife with conservators of nature slain daily. I have no delusions regarding my authority since I have none save the delicate minuet daily danced between my prayer and response. Add to which I did not self ordain or elect myself a prophet of -- forget God -- Love instead of vengeance.

It now amuses me to consider the many ways of disposal; my mind, body and soul. Over which prospect I have no fear. But of the children and elderly I become incensed for they are hopeless and helpless like the Jews of Europe, who judged the culprit, were disposed of. Or those of Stalinist Russia by 60 Million disappeared.

Frankly, or Jacky as it may be; I'd rather be buried or burned alive than to die by Alzheimer's caused essentially, or so by scholars of Biology concluded, the infusion of various elements inimical to life. Though covert, as in never discussed in any open forum, Alzheimer's is currently at epidemic levels and swiftly rising to the levels of a plague.

For what & why?

For the greater profit of agricultural farming. This is merely the beginning of a lengthy food chain feeding the already porcine rich; those who in fact rule the world for themselves and their minions. Once again, within twenty four hours, I am amused to suggest that you grasp your sit down and kiss it goodbye. You & I are already dead, or at best, slowly dying from the depredations & predations of Greed, Inc.

In for a penny or pound.
If not now, when?
Is a good time to die?
I am ready, bring it on.

The origins of this mess could not be possibly be the origins, exclusively, of the attack. Yet insight or intuition indicates success to the attacker since we The United States of America have, as T. S. Elliot so long ago foretold, bit the lure and are now on our back; hook, line and sinker dying. Perhaps, maybe not, justifiably so since we hold the greatest power to destroy not only the species but the nest. A power which unlike swords cannot be forged into plowshares.

oh sweet Jesus on a go cart; I liked St. John the Divine's version better, best mostbestos hugely more romantic.

Psychiatry is institutionalized scientism: it is the systematic imitation, impersonation, counterfeiting, and deception. This is the formula: every adult smokes (drinks, engages in sexual activity, etc.); hence, to prove that he is an adult, the adolescent smokes (drinks, engages in sexual activity, etc.). Mutatis mutandis: every science consists of classification, control, and prediction; hence to prove psychiatry is a science, the psychiatrist classifies, controls, predicts. The result is that he classifies people as mad; that he confines them as dangerous (to themselves or others); and that he predicts people's behavior, robbing them of their free will and hence of their very humanity. --"Science and Scientism", p. 115

For Jews, the Messiah has never come; for Christians, He has come but once; for modern man, He appears and disappears with increasing rapidity. The saviors of modern man, the "scientists" who promise salvation through the "discoveries" of ethology and sociology, psychology and psychiatry, and all the other bogus religions, issue forth periodically, as if selected by some Messiah-of-the-Month Club.

"Hell bent for election" says it all

Politicians are psychotic by birth, therefore not evil; yet their indifference to all things emotional and uncontrollable make politicians useless. Among the wise, and by this I do not imply or infer that I am wise, it is said that there is a self governance: sovereign and above all the laws of men. For me this is consequential in many degrees and kinds, situations and choices, experienced minute by minute and to me the resolution by thought alone is not only anathema but and abomination -- In my lexicon: an actionable offense against life, love, liberty or merely against God.

In a simplistic sense all men -- remember I use men in the generic sense meaning all of the species of man and woman or merely all sentient life -- we all think to varying degrees about whether to wear yellow or red anything: panties, ties, socks. This is not a life lived on any level but pragmatic. As indicated in other posts: we are capable of a fabulous range of experience and power sacrificed to those who exclusively experience life through thinking alone. Intelligence is quantifiable yet love is not. Of power I would chose love over anything else and thus when confronted with a lose/lose situation chose love, sacrifice and mercy . . . I no longer pray for the courage to die in grace but make grace my goal in all things.

Before my collision with probable death by pain, castration, humiliation I thought I was receiving, randomly, 'love notes from God.' For which I have no proof save in the choice to be not only celibate but willing to, in death, make my assassin curious about love.

Might is not right for it is without justice or mercy; an obvious expediency to politicians and control freaks. And I -- as a sovereign self grown massively strong in faith, somewhat akin but never actually like that of those who have been my hero/heroines from nigh onto birth and now near death -- chose to die instead of live under the rule of indifference to any and all things especially love, mercy and life.

"Hell bent for election" says a great deal about what we are ruled by; those who arrogate profit from governance should, by general terms, merely be put to sleep at birth; retroactively aborted. That is before they pull the trigger and expunge all mankind and the earth in self righteousness a form of intoxication akin to all those we deem our "Enemy."

We are an emigrant population occupying a land, not owned as we claim, but merely inhabited by a race of people we call Native American Indian who had/have no ideation of ownership. Who in their turn were emigrant from other places and times thus 'owned' by immanent domain, this land we now pollute, rape, pillage and destroy. Like Hitler's Third Reich keeping the 'inferiors' in concentration camps become death machines.

"In God We Trust"

I have no concordance with the motto demonstrated by behavior and choice. Yet as a child of God would ask; when will we become the potential magnificence implied in The Bill of Rights or the Constitution of The United States. The current Supreme Court is skewed towards conservancy, not of liberty, but for profit and status quo. Thus morally and ethically bankrupt.

When Howdy Doody & Uncle Bob have their brief moments, together, or individually, before the court of God I pray they will not be dismissed as The Angel of Death (Josef Mengele) did: the shower/oven or slave labor.

For those unfamiliar with me: Howdy Doody is G. W. Bush & Uncle Bob is Dick Cheney. Both, in my estimate, war criminals and there are others' including Democrats who voted for the rape, pillage and burning of Iraq without provocation.

To conclude: I am not insane, We Are. And I for one will continue to pray for us.

. . . for reference material please seek and read; paying close attention to who wins and who loses coupled with where the money and power go. There is no recovery -- God & Nature do no revisions.

for those who care nothing for themselves

In essence it should be irrelevant of me to care for those who care nothing for themselves. Lingering in the death they escaped, partially or whole, scrambled and marginalised. I question myself mercilessly; what motivates my attention: being a voyageur like those who love war for it dispels the boring mechanical lives they lived?

No.

I think not but am unwilling to live with myself indifferent to anything. I often do not want to be myself. And those who purport to have answers bore me to not merely tears but death. Absent 'Original Sin' and death there would be no need to ask questions about anything.

When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of hell. That is why we dread children, even if we love them. They show us the state of our decay.

–Rob Percival, THE TWILIGHT OF CERTAINTY: Raised in darkness, they strive to save the Earth
Parabola, Fall 2012.

The allegory of a cave of shadows, put forward by Plato in Book VII of The Republic, is one of the defining images of the Western philosophic tradition. Plato suggests that we are each the prisoner in the cave, so long as we remain caught up in “the region revealed through sight,” the world of the senses. In order to escape, we must focus our minds on the intellectual and climb up the “steep and rugged ascent” to the mouth of the cave, beyond which is the sun, the rational and transcendent source of all that is real and eternal.

This allegory lies at the heart of a Western tradition that associates images of light with knowledge and realization, and images of darkness with ignorance and deception. Light clarifies while darkness is ambiguous. Brightness and brilliance connote intelligence, and truth is illumination and enlightenment, while the unknown takes the form of a cloud, is shrouded behind a veil, or is seen dimly, through a glass darkly. The period of intellectual decline that fell across Europe following the collapse of the Roman Empire is known as the Dark Ages, while the Age of Light and Reason that began in the sixteenth century saw the flourishing of science and rationality, with its ratios and radii, words which all share the same linguistic root as radiant; an era defined by the intellectual fire of Plato’s sun.
